The challenge

Terrarium Co had grown from a local herpetology society into a global conservation collective — but its identity still looked like a newsletter from 2009. Twelve chapters, twelve logos, zero recognition. They needed one system flexible enough for field research, fundraising galas and a TikTok audience of two million.

Our approach

We built the identity around the collective's most charismatic asset: the animals themselves. A scale-derived pattern language generates a unique texture for every chapter, while a single wordmark and an emerald-first palette hold the system together. Every asset — from field guides to donation receipts — was templated in a design system the chapters can run without us.
